Our Approach to Journalism Education
sage ware emerged from a straightforward observation: traditional journalism programs weren't keeping pace with how stories are actually told and consumed today. While curricula focused on legacy formats, newsrooms increasingly needed journalists who could shoot, edit, and distribute video content independently.
We built our courses around the workflows professionals actually use. Every assignment mirrors real deadlines and editorial standards. Our instructors maintain active careers in journalism and documentary production, bringing current industry challenges directly into every session.
Since 2018, we've trained over 1,200 graduates who now work at newsrooms, production companies, and media organizations across Canada and beyond. Our focus remains narrow: practical video journalism skills taught by people who use them daily.
